Equality Balance Project presented at the Seminar "Partnerships for Gender Equality: Results achieved and next steps"

The Equality Balance project is sponsored by the Associação Familias, in partnership with NORWAY ID (International Development Norway), being supported by the EEA GRANTS Program and the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality. The Equality Balance Project developed with the support of a Scientific Committee which make academic part of several areas, a horizontal instrument for all sectors of economic activity, which will assess legislative measures to promote gender equality.
In short, the project Equality Balance by designing a tool capable of evaluating the content of the legislation from the gender perspective, created conditions for a more fruitful equity to whom it is addressed or affect the matters covered in the law.
This experience was shared in the seminar "Partnerships for Gender Equality: Results achieved and next steps" which took place last week at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.
